The Republic of South Africa has been in the eye of the storm for a minute.

And the reasons are nothing short of extraordinary.

The sons of apartheid, who were understandably miffed by the dismantling of the economic and political apparatus which served their ancestors and privileged whiteness above everything else, have found themselves at the heart of a major drama, unfolding in the southern hemisphere.

That Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Pik Botha and David Sacks have played a pivotal role in putting Trump in the White House isn’t breaking news, but what’s happened since the 20th of January is quite noteworthy.

Not content with obliterating with federal agencies —USAID and CIA —our biological determinist friends have turned their guns on a familiar territory — The Republic of South Africa.

Its President —Cyril Ramaphosa —signed into law, land seizure without compensation.

For those who know little of South Africa’s history, it is worth pointing out that in times past, the Dutch settlers, also known as the Afrikaners, embarked on slaughtering and displacing millions of natives off their territory and enforced this unequal state of affairs…
