Not unless you’re living under a rock, you will have heard that the leader of the Catholic Church, the pope has called for a world wide ban on surrogacy.

His reasons for calling for the ban was that it was exploitative of mother and child.

Given his power and influence, his words are likely to be accorded the highest degree of epistemic authority and respect.

To thinking people everywhere, we are forced to confront this extraordinarily absurd statement from Pope Francis.

And much more importantly, the absurdity of Christianity itself in the 21st century.

For those who have forgotten, the birth of Jesus Christ was prophesied in a number of passages in the old testament:

Only Begotten Son, who is full of grace and truth, which is Jesus Christ, the only name which shall be given under heaven, whereby salvation shall come unto the children of men
