The Tragedy of The Seventy Year Old Female Writer on Medium

A writer willfully blinded by her hubris, obnoxiousness and bigotry.

There is a geriatric writer on this space whose arrogance is extraordinarily breathtaking.

This scribe talks up her dexterity with words and her moral, intellectual superiority to the great numbers of those who operate on this space.

In that Dunning Kruger head of hers, she is the best thing since slice bread.

But her one indisputable gift is her cantankerousness. Those who have had spats with her on this space can readily testify to this.

Her writing is by no means special, far from it; I have had to correct her misspelled words on a few occasions and this is coming from a writer (me) who is as average as it gets.

Our protagonist is no Doris Lessing or Margaret Atwood. Nor is she in any danger of getting close to these venerated players in this lifetime or the next.

More than anything else, she embodies the bigotry and entitlement of a white woman who was born and bred in apartheid South Africa.

Why am I writing these words, I hear you ask?

It was brought on by the article that I wrote on the subject matter of bitcoin. What started as a regular debate quickly took a turn for the worse, which led to a bit of ad hominem, first from the geriatric writer and then from me.
