And we have not very much time left to fix things…

Last week certainly was an extraordinary week in the life of humanity.

We were subjected to non-stop coverage of those who had undertaken the trip to the bottom of the ocean to view the titanic wreckage.

If thousands of refugees had died in the channel crossings as per usual, it didn’t register for a second on the consciousness of folks covering the news.

And nor did it register in the consciousness of everyday people.

It is as though billions of people have been programmed into thinking that those with several zeros in their bank accounts are inherently superior to them.

And this is why those who dared to speak out against the prevailing view were attacked for doing so.

But speaking out was the only recourse.

Why?

Billionaires have humanity in a vice-like grip and everything they do is accorded with the highest degree of importance regardless of whether their pursuit has played or is playing an outsize role in destroying our planet.

And given that most people have been taught to think by the news channels they watch, it is nearly impossible to get them to see the world differently.
