This is a salient fact that we all should never forget.

The irony of it all though is that the modern “immigrant to American success story phenomenon” owes its’ existence to the plight of Black Americans through things like the birthright laws and the Civil Rights Act. Their mobility is on rights that were secured by the blood shed by Black Americans.
