Three Hundred Articles Later and I Don’t Have a Clue on What Works and What Doesn’t on Medium
Just making it up as I go on…
Someone here said that you need to write at least 300 articles to begin to achieve some modicum of success on Medium.
Thus far, I have written three hundred posts. This is my 301st.
And I want to be absolutely candid in stating that I am none the wiser as to what works and what doesn’t.
Although I have never been in any doubt about my writing abilities despite the kind words of my friends here; I am acutely aware that I am as average as it gets.
But so is nearly every one operating in this space. Including the marquee names.
Especially the marquee names.
They say write very often and the gods will look upon you quite favourably. Heaven knows that I have written far more often than most but the algorithms don’t have any love for me.
None whatsoever.
In my head, I have tried pinning the blame on my name: Adebayo Adeniran. I have always wondered if the presuppositions in people’s heads about a guy with my name and background may have been impedimental to any major success.
