Donald Trump must be the most underrated genius of politics in the history of the West.

And no, I am not being facetious, I mean every word of what I have written in the previous paragraph.

Unlike his forebears, his very existence confirms the extraordinary absurdity of western democracy in the 21st century.

Bill Clinton was as bigoted, duplicitous and pussy grabbing as the 45th President but the former Arkansas governor was brilliant at hiding this ugly and cynical side to his persona.

With Trump, however, you knew what you were getting and knew exactly where you stood.

When the Republican billionaire said that he loved the poorly educated, he did something that no other politician had dared to say or do: state in clear terms where his allegiance lay and much more importantly, state policy for the last seventy-five years, which has been to dumb down the voting public beyond all imagination.

Watching Trump’s townhall Q and A on CNN several hours ago, you would have been forgiven for thinking that the convicted former President was in charge of the America’s affairs. Our man…
