Two things:

1. The God of the old testament isn't exactly nice, is he?

2. We humans, aren't the nicest either. Slavery, genocide, colonialism, wage slavery, racism, police brutality.

I don't know what world you are living in, but as a Black man, I am made aware of the cruelty of the world around me...
