The retail district of central London is an absolute nightmare at this time of the year.

Anyone who has a passing familiarity with the capital city of Great Britain, will know exactly what this author is writing about.

It is beyond strange that in the middle of a cost of living crisis, soaring homelessness and staggering poverty that Londoners and tourists are playing their part to ensure that spirit of extreme capitalism is alive.

The likes of Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Louis Vutton, Apple, Fendi, Tesla, are open for business, paying their staff the minimum wage to work umpteen hours.

And every one of those of shops, whose reason for being is to gaslight folks out of their senses, are working overtime to ensure that we part with our hard earned money.

And guess what?

Hundreds of thousands are giving in to their impulses, buying overpriced items which they cannot afford to impress people whom they do not know or like for that matter.

But who do you blame for this sad state of affairs, the stupid folks or those who are dedicated to squeezing every cent out of us?
