Volodymyr Zelenskyy is More Churchillian Than Boris Johnson

A lesson in leadership
That Ukraine has come under heavy shelling in the last few days is old news.
That the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany and France have done nothing but huff and puff since Russia began its assault is profoundly disgraceful.
That children and women have been among the biggest casualties, thus far, has been heartbreaking to say the least.
But there was something that none of us bargained for.
The spirit of a defiant people embodied in one man.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Going back to when he was first elected as the Ukrainian head of state, Zelenskyy was seen as something of an impostor to the realm of global politics, an ex-comedian, who was completely out of his depth in taking one of the most difficult jobs in the world.
But his performances so far, have been no laughing matter.
Zelenskyy has mobilized the power of social media to rouse every Ukrainian male, ages 18–60, into taking up arms in the fight against Russian occupation.
The Ukrainian president could have taken the easy way out in taking up the American and British offer of leaving the country in order to allow the Russians to steamroll the country, but he chose not to.
And he has stood up to his aggressor in a way that Churchill would have been incredibly proud.
