What If Food Banks Ran Out of Food, In Britain This Winter?
Some serious food for thought.
It’s the 28th of August and tens of millions across the United kingdom aren’t looking forward to the inevitable change in weather in the coming weeks and months.
And there’s good reason for this.
The arbitrary rise in energy bills has all but guaranteed that we are set for the longest winter of lives. The removal in the price caps means that we will pay twice and in some cases, thrice the current sum when the wintery chill sets in.
And as bad as it sounds, this may not be the only major cause for concern heading to the end of 2022.
There’s also food banks too.
The presence of food banks in the world’s 6th largest economy has been the most significant highlight of the last ten years.
Much more ubiquitous than your local McDonald’s restaurants, food banks have helped millions of Brits supplement their meager salaries by providing an essential service in these treacherous times.
