What Should We Expect From King Charles III?
A ‘woke’ King or more of the same?
The moment is fully upon us.
The day has finally come when Charles went from the Prince of Wales to King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
For someone whose entire life was a preparation for this moment, We can only imagine the events of Thursday came as a huge shock to him.
Judging by yesterday’s address, it is no exaggeration to state that it was indeed as heavy for him as it was for the wider public.
Unlike his mother, whom the British people knew so little about before she became queen, and who also retained a huge degree of mystique for nearly the entirety of her reign, the British public had got to know so much about the new King over the last fifty years.
And whether this will shape his reign or not, is something which will unfold over the coming months and years.
