White America Must Take Responsibility For Its profound Stupidity

Years of foreboding is now a reality.
Commentators who paid attention to the state of affairs in America knew that a complete collapse was in the offing and they did their hardest in educating and warning us, but some folks in our midst weren’t interested and others were simply too stupid to grasp the extremity of what was unfolding.
Anyone who has read Michael Lewis’ fifth risk and his latest offering-who is government- would appreciate that the real work of ensuring that government functions optimally, is done by thousands of nameless and faceless individuals.
But try telling that to millions of white folk who voted Trump in the hope that he would make America great again.
No one who has read the author of Flash Boys, Liar’s Poker, The Big Short, would have voted for the convicted felon, but the issue here is that the vast majority of Americans read at grade 8 level actually went with Trump, which is a massive indictment of the entire system.
And much more importantly, it speaks to a system which has plumbed for bigotry at the expense of egalitarianism and meritocracy right through the centuries.
This was true in 1865 as it was in 1965 and nothing has changed in 2025.
The entrenched view that African-Americans should remain in indentured servitude has stubbornly remained in place.
But in the age of globalization, these views are completely out of step and it’s hampering America’s efforts to compete with China.
You cannot govern the biggest economy on the whims and caprices of who you like and who you do not and it is also worth stating that no economy-and that includes America- can operate in a perpetual state of turmoil.
And what Trump has done since taken charge of his nation’s affairs is to create huge amounts of turmoil that the system cannot handle.
And what’s more, this unfolding mess is akin to declaring war on the polity, leaving the citizens with nowhere to turn.
All of which brings us back to basis of this piece- white America must take…
