Is this yet another example of President’s Napoleonic complex?

In case you hadn’t noticed, the French tricolor has undergone a bit of a makeover. Emmanuel Macron made the important decision to change the sky blue to a navy blue.

At this stage of the nation’s existence, it does seem a bit strange.

One wonders what effect will the change have on the elections due to take place next year. Who knows it might make France much less of a racist nation? Or might it help cure the cancer of Islamophobia?

Or is it yet another example of the small man’s Napoleonic complex?

Or is it yet another example of a white man’s vanity?

The need to have something by which he will be remembered by the electorate, especially given his lack of legislative success, Only God knows.

One imagines that when historians judge his stewardship, they will point to the resounding success of imposing his kind of blue on the French people.

But to be fair to the bloke, the country has had quite a number of flag changes in its history, as evinced in the image below, if you weren’t aware.
