Why Is Putin Desperate To Pin The Moscow Terrorist Attacks on Ukraine?

Not unless you have been living under a rock away from humanity, you will have heard and seen the footage of the horrific attacks on theatre goers in Moscow, a few days ago.

And those scenes were yet another reminder that terrorism has become an all too familiar hallmark across major European cities with Paris, Manchester, Madrid, and London being clear examples in the last two decades.

And given the degree to which Putin has his country and its citizens on a very short leash, It was quite surprising that ISIS plotted and orchestrated a successful terrorist attack in Russia’s capital city.

Now how could this be?

The American security services had qualitative intelligence, which they did not hesitate in passing on to their Russian counterparts regarding the imminent threat of a terrorist attack, which Vladimir Putin dismissed as ‘fear mongering’ by the Americans.

And now that the gruesome attacks have taken place, the Russian strongman is attempting to deflect his failings and pin the blame on the Ukrainians.
