The western liberal order is dead.

And its death is evinced on the streets of Gaza, where children are routinely slaughtered to preserve the privileges of the wealthiest in our societies.

Its death has been especially pronounced in Africa, for a few decades too.

Since the 1960s, we have seen France, Portugal, Britain with America, orchestrate coups, civil wars and mass genocide across the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Angola, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Sudan, Togo and Chad.

And if these weren’t bad enough, the use of debt as an instrument of subjugation and control has been absolutely extraordinary.

It isn’t news to anyone that Africa is resources wealthy; by far the wealthiest on earth.

Uranium, cobalt, crude oil, diamonds, gold, platinum, palm kernels, cocoa and other precious metals are to be found in vast quantities.

The existence of debt, by way of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, crippled the development of African nation-states, using its precious resources as collateral.
